Painting in acrylics has been Annette’s favoured medium this year to pick out the movement and mood of the sea in, while she has continued to enjoy using watercolours in a loose style to paint her favourite subject, bluebells. The surprise of the season has been the intensity of her ‘Pink Clouds’ painting using ‘alcohol inks’ for the first time, a glorious result of the pigments blending beautifully under electric light.

Annette paints mainly in watercolour and enjoys the way that watercolours bleed into one another to create light and dark tones. Her work is often embellished with sequins and soft lights.
