Colin studied at Ware College of Art and has had a career in display, antiques and fine art. He paints in oils, watercolour and ink. He has exhibited countrywide including at the Medici Gallery, Bond St. In 2021 Colin won the John Goss Prize, best picture at the Hertford art Society.

His development has been through palette knife paintings to pen and ink and watercolour in his studies of the English landscape, architecture, the birds and small animals of Northern Europe.
