Inspired by the natural world, particularly animals and birds, Hayley makes art in her whimsical, ‘cartoonish’ style, capturing the characters of her animals to make the viewer smile. She works from her home in Stevenage, in acrylics, ink, watercolour and mixed media.

Hayley has drawn animals since she was old enough to hold a crayon. Now she has moved on from crayons (although they sometimes do feature in mixed media work) and in the last few years she has started selling work through galleries, art markets and online.

What’s not changed is the subject matter. Inspiration comes from the natural world. 

Her biggest passion will always be animals, aiming to capture their beauty, form and movement in her own humorous and maybe a touch whimsical style. Working in Acrylic, ink, watercolour and mixed media.

Hayley lives in Stevenage with her photographer husband and their dogs. Her own dogs are her ‘muses’ and work with them has led into her producing commissioned pet portraits in her ‘cartoonish’ style for lots of other animal lovers.

Hayley says “My goal is to bring a smile to the viewer yet remain true to the animals natural spirit and essence”. Reading her feedback from customers her work has brought lots of smiles and joy.
