Mitzie Green, well known for her vibrant colours, textures and free-flowing style, loves painting townscapes, landscapes, abstracts and flowers. She paints in watercolours, acrylics and mixed media and works spontaneously and in a manner where the medium can flow. She has a strong bias towards tactile effects and a sensuous expression and enjoys experimenting with unconventional tools.
Mitzie studied painting and printmaking at St Albans College of Art. She gives demonstrations and teaches art in Redbourn and Berkhamsted and holds occasional workshops. Her work is vibrant; subjects include landscapes, townscapes, flowers and abstracts in a variety of media.
Mitzie has a Diploma in Stitched Textiles and a Degree in Painting and Printmaking. She has held Solo Exhibitions and exhibited widely, including the Royal Academy Summer Exhibition and The Mall Galleries.
