PROFILE GUIDELINES

  1. Catalogue Profile:

As part of your Online Submission you are required to submit a short, written profile that will be displayed in the Art Show Catalogue alongside the listing of your work.

  • It should be written about you, in the ‘third person’, rather than autobiographically, in the ‘first person’.
  • This profile is strictly limited to ‘280 characters’.
  • You must not include forward advertising eg. a website address.
  • If visitors wish to commission a work from you, we will take their details and pass them on.  Commissions have resulted from this procedure in the past.
  • We may edit the profile in order to ensure uniformity of appearance in the Catalogue.
  • If you are submitting a hardcopy submission by post please also include your profile.

The following examples may assist you in composing your profile:

  • Rosemary is from Norfolk and is a keen amateur watercolour artist, effectively self taught; she took up painting again after a twenty-year break raising a family.
  • William studied at Canterbury College, London, gaining a Certificate in Fine Art and being awarded the “Landseer” scholarship.   He won the Tunn Prize for pencil drawing in 2004.
  • Painting mostly in Hertfordshire, Jennifer’s interest in light in the landscape has also taken her to Italy and Egypt.  She lives in Kimpton and teaches art professionally.
  • Bob has exhibited at a number of local art shows as well as the Mall Galleries, London where he has sold widely.
  • Charlotte uses a variety of media, depending on her subject but her primary focus has always been acrylics as demonstrated in the current exhibits.

2. Website Profile:

We will use your ‘280-character’ profile within the Catalogue and also on our website.  However, if you wish, you may also submit a longer profile for use on the art show website as this is less constrained by space.

You may submit no more than 2 photos of the work you are exhibiting for the website. Please ensure the photos are correctly formatted as jpg digital images and sent as attachments to your email.

Your profiles and photograph/s should be submitted to contact@kimptonartshow.co.uk

or by post to Kimpton Art Show, The Chapel, The Green, Kimpton, Herts. SG4 8RZ
